For quite awhile, the opening sequence was a lost art when it came to American TV shows as the need to cram in more advertising cut the length of episodes and had credits overlaid with the show itself. So catchy tunes or intriguing visuals were lost. But with the cable/premium side picking up things in the last few years, there have been some fantastic ones that really sell the show in a great way while also drawing in curiosity seekers. Marvel’s now released the opening credits for Daredevil and given them to us in a clean form so we can just enjoy the visuals and the music as it tackles key aspects of the city and the character.
The series debuted on Friday, April 10th, 2015 on the service where all thirteen episodes of the run are now available. The series debuts just under a month before the premiere of Avengers: Age of Ultron and ahead of the July 17th debut of the Ant-Man film.
The series stars Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson and Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk.
Plot concept: Daredevil follows the journey of Matt Murdock, who was blinded as a young boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, now fighting against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the super hero Daredevil in modern day Hell’s Kitchen, New York City.
