Kei Sugita’s manga series Uta Koi has enjoyed some decent success since it began in 2010 as a “super liberal” interpretation of the Hyakunin isshu anthology of 100 romantic poems by 100 poets compiled during the Heian period. The manga has had four volumes so far since beginning its run and it had a thirteen episode TV series produced by TYO Animation in 2012 that was simulcast on Crunchyroll. There’s also a small spinoff run that’s come together in the form of a one volume collection called Uta Koi. Ibun Uta Hen., which is basically shorts and parodies of the original work. Media Factory has highlighted that work now with a new promotional video.
Plot concept: A collection of shorts stories, parody of Chouyaku Hyakunin Isshu: Uta Koi.
