‘Shonen Hollywood’ Second Anime Season Gets First Subtitled Clip

‘Shonen Hollywood’ Second Anime Season Gets First Subtitled Clip With the second season of Shonen Hollywood moving right along as part of the winter 2015 anime simulcast season, FUNimation is doing a bit of promotion for it by adding their first clip from the season. This one sets the tone well as we get the main group coming out for the nearly three minute run and introducing themselves with a bit of style. A lot of it just shows the nature of the idol business, which the first season looked at it in a generally serious way, and it’s the kind of thing that still just feels different in a lot of ways from a Western point of view. But the show certainly captures it well.

FUNimation simulcasts new episodes every Saturday at 1:30pm ET for EVS members and then a week later for free members through Hulu.

The series is part of a multimedia project that involves the novel, the anime adaptation and an idol project as well. The series is set to take place after the novel. The production brings Toshimasa Kuroyoanagi to directed based on scripts by original creator Ikuyo Hashiguchi and character designs by Kei Tsuchiya. With Starchild behind the project, we get studio Zexcs providing the animation for it.

Plot concept: These boys won’t stop till they make it to the top! Fifteen years ago, the legendary idol group Shonen Hollywood stole the hearts of thousands adoring fans. Their performance at the famous Hollywood Tokyo Theater is the stuff of legend, and now a new group of boys is determined to become the next generation of this famed super group. Ikuma, Kakeru, Shun, Kira, and Daiki will train day and night as they chase their dreams on the road to superstardom.
