The anime adaptation of SankakuHead’s manga series Himouto! Umaru-chan has a little more new information surfacing through early scans of this Thursday’s Weekly Young Jump magazine that will be of interest to fans. The new summer 2015 series has revealed that it will be directed by Masahiko Ohta based on the scripts by Takashi Aoshima along with character designs by Aya Takano and that it’ll be done at Dogakoba. Ohta, Aoshima and sound director Yasunori Ebina all worked together on Yuruyuri and a few of them on Kotoura-san.
The news comes as the fifth volume of the series arrived recently in Japan. That property has been running since 2013 in Weekly Young Jump.
Production details are expected to arrive in upcoming issues of the magazine, though it’s a safe guess that it’s going to be a short form show.
Plot concept: The sibling gag comedy manga centers around Umaru, Taihei’s little sister who boasts beautiful looks as well as prowess in both school and sports; however, “Himouto” (beautiful little sister) has a certain secret.
