As Star Wars Rebels progresses, we’re going to see it starting to spread out a bit and focus on more of the core cast of characters. It’s initial focus has naturally been on Ezra as our eyes into the world that the we see with the crew of the Ghost, but one of the strengths of Star Wars: The Clone Wars was its diverse cast that didn’t rely on any one character too much. With the upcoming episode Out of Darkness, we’re seeing a bit more focus on Hera and Sabine, which is definitely welcome.
With the series exploring the time between the third and fourth installments and taking a lot of cues from the McQuarrie artwork, it’s settling in well to its design and has a lot of potential.
The series stars Freddie Prinze, Jr., Taylor Gray, Steve Blum, Tiya Sircar and Vanessa Marshall.
Plot concept: Set between the events of Episode III and IV — an era spanning almost two decades never-before explored on-screen. It takes place in a time where the Empire is securing its grip on the galaxy and hunting down the last of the Jedi Knights as a fledgling rebellion against the Empire is taking shape.
