Manga Entertainment UK has seen the power of Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’ in North America and now they’re getting things in order for a UK theatrical run for the feature film. After taking in $60 million in Japan, the film is now set for a UK debut on September 30th, 2015. “We are extremely pleased and proud to be bringing Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’ to UK cinemas. This has been hugely successful in the U.S. and broke all sorts of records in the process. We’re hoping to replicate that level of enthusiasm and passion from UK audiences. The film received a limited screening in North America earlier this month where it netted about $8.4 million. Based on the screenplay by original creator Akira Toriyama, the two-hour film is directed by Tadayoshi Yamamuro with Toei Animation handling the production side of it.
Plot concept: An Earth where peace has arrived. However, remnants of Frieza’s army Sorbet and Tagoma (from the Japanese word for ‘egg’) arrive on the planet. Their goal is to revive Frieza with the dragon balls. Their dastardly wish is granted, the “F” that plans its revenge against the Saiyans is revived…!
